About the free risk assessment.

It's really free and there is no catch. This is a 60-minute, free risk assessment workshop for county or municipal governments - any local government entity qualifies. This offer is for a limited time (offer expires on November 28, 2018) and all risk assessments must be scheduled and completed by the end of 2018. These assessments are team workshops intended for multi-disciplinary management teams. A senior executive, director, or elected official such as a CEO, COO, county executive, county administrator, county commissioner, city council person, etc. person must be in attendance to qualify for the free workshop.  Additional team members encouraged to attend might include IT, HR, Legal, Records Management, Public Health, etc.

This is an unaudited risk assessment. In other words, we don't validate your answers, but we do walk you through a rigorous checklist of security policies, procedures and best practices and we'll answer any questions you might have. At the end of the session, we'll e-mail you a report that clearly identifies major risk factors. Our proprietary risk assessment is based on a set of questions and standards from ISO/IEC 27001, the NIST Cyber Security Framework, and the HIPAA Security Rule and was developed specifically for local government entities.

The workshop is done in a GoToMeeting session, so team members attending may choose to work from their desks or gather in one place. We recommend you gather all your security policies, procedures and other security documentation before the meeting.
